Design Process

Research & Discovery

Market research and competitive analysis revealed growing client demand for:
Fast, secure digital onboarding in financial services.
Greater transparency and control over the investment journey.
Assurance that regulatory requirements would be met without excessive complexity.
These findings validated the need for a fully integrated, user-friendly digital experience.

Ideation & Strategy

The onboarding flow was strategically designed to meet both user expectations and regulatory demands by:
  • Automating identity verification (KYC) and compliance checks.
  • Integrating secure digital contract signing.
  • Designing an interface that guides users clearly through every step.
Two primary personas were developed to guide the design:
High Net Worth Individuals
Seeking minimal onboarding friction while accessing exclusive investment opportunities.
International Investors
Requiring compliant, location-agnostic onboarding processes that ensure legal coverage and ease of use.

Key Features Designed

Guided by user insights, the strategic focus centered on:
  • Digital Registration
    Fully embedded e-signature functionality to streamline document handling.
  • Automated KYC & Compliance
    Real-time identity and regulatory checks using integrated third-party services.
  • Progressive Disclosure UI
    A step-by-step interface that ensures clarity without overwhelming the user.
High-fidelity prototypes were tested across user segments, ensuring the design accommodated varying levels of technical literacy and regulatory needs across jurisdictions.

Testing & Iteration

The design underwent continuous validation through user testing and internal compliance reviews:
  • Legal and compliance feedback was used to fine-tune data handling and verification flows.
  • UX testing helped identify and eliminate friction points during registration and document submission.
  • Iterative improvements focused on reducing user drop-off and enhancing clarity throughout the process.

The FINVIA Mobile App delivered measurable success both internally and among clients:
